Toni Kroos last-minute goal confirmed german’s victory

The Germany, the wounded giant, has woken up again to defend their title by beating Sweden to 2-1. Having lost to Mexicans 1-0 in their very first match in FIFA 2018 world cup , Germany seems to have gained their authentic play style back.

It was a really good play by Sweden who scored first goal of the match @32’ with Ola Toivonen’s foot, and led the first half 1-0. At the very beginning of 2nd half, @ 48’, Marco Reus found the net giving hopes to German fans and it was the equalizer. Till 90’+5’, action were everywhere in the field which did swing the game to both side, but at last, the star German football star Tony Kroos curled the free kick -ball from edge of the box, through the Sweden defense to the net. It was a classy play by Tony Kroos and secured the victory for Germany.

To be noted, both goal keepers Manuel Neur and Robin Oslen showed great jumps and stretches which made excellent saves for their countries.

When it comes to overall match performance, Germany had ball possession of 71% with pass accuracy of 91%, whereas Sweden had only 29% ball procession with 77% pass accuracy. Anyway, this match was a really thriller.
